Many people have received their Tax Assessments for the 2015 Tax Year. If you are a new property owner or may have just turned 65, you many not know about the Homestead Tax Exemption.
It allows the first $50,000 of the fair market value of your home to be exempt for certain property taxes. There are several ways to qualify for the exemption, but one way is to be age 65 or older. In addition, there are also a few restrictions.
