King Tides Impact Seabrook Island

The Charleston Post and Courier newspaper’s lead story today was about the King tides that will be hitting the Charleston area for the next few days.  These unusually high tides are caused by the proximity of the moon and wind patterns. Localized flooding in and around Seabrook can be expected as evidenced by the following comment and pictures submitted by Roger Steel.

See the attached pictures of the moat around our property on Marsh Hen Drive and at Cap’n Sams Creek at the back of our property.  This is as much water as the “1,000 year flood”.
