The Charleston Jazz Orchestra (CJO) will kick off the Town of Kiawah Island Arts and Cultural Events Council’s new season by bringing Latin beats to Kiawah Island on August 7, 2016, at the East Beach Conference Center. Maestro Charlton Singleton and your CJO will return to Kiawah Island for CELEBRATING LATIN JAZZ, a concert featuring one of Charleston’s premier vocalists, Quiana Parler, along with Latin-born guest percussionist, Gino Castillo.
The diverse program will include fiery rhythms of salsa, cha-cha, samba, and bossa nova tunes, featuring hits such as Girl From Ipanema and Como Fue, as well as a few jazz-infused favorites from Santana. Come dance the night away with CJO’s LATIN JAZZ CELEBRATION ON KIAWAH!
