Tropical Storm Update
From Cathy Haynes, Chief of Operations Charleston County Emergency Management Department on Wednesday, 24 August:
“EMD participated in a state conference call today (24 August) in reference to Invest 99L. 99L is still very disorganized with little sign of strengthening. There is a slight possibility that it could become a tropical depression or tropical storm over the weekend. There is a high pressure system off the SC coast that is anticipated to stay there for the next several days. If high pressure will help to keep this system going towards Florida and into the Gulf.
EMD will continue to monitor and update you on any changes that may occur.”
