From the Berkeley Electric Facebook page posted approximately 7 PM EDT, Oct 9:
“As of 6:00 pm, our outage total stands at approximately 36,000 members.
Out of that total, there are approximately 12,000 members that the co-op cannot restore power to until transmission issues are resolved by Santee Cooper and SCE&G. The primary areas affected by these transmission outages are in parts of Awendaw, Jamestown, Macedonia and Kiawah & Seabrook Islands.”
