Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic announces the date for its 10th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament. This year, the popular fundraiser to support the Clinic will be held on Monday, March 27th, 2017 at The River Course on Kiawah Island.
The golf tournament will begin with a luncheon at noon followed by a shotgun start at 12:30pm. A cocktail hour, silent auction, buffet dinner and awards ceremony will take place following the tournament. Additional opportunities to donate to the clinic, including prize contests for putting and holes in one, will be offered during the festivities.
The 2016 event brought in over 90 players and raised funds to help support the non-profit clinic located at 3226 Maybank Highway, which serves adults of Johns, James, and Wadmalaw Islands who fall below 200% of the federal poverty limit and do not currently have access to health insurance.
