Berkeley Electric will be replacing a damaged switch-gear in the vicinity of Beach Club Villas, which will require a brief power outage.
The outage is scheduled for Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The location of the switch-gear is between 334 and 335 Beach Club Villas. The impacted areas include both sides of Seabrook Island Road, from St. Christopher Lane to The Seabrook Club. This includes Spinnaker Beach Houses, Beach Club Villas and Pelican Watch Villas. Also, 3800, 3802, 3804 and 3806 Seabrook Island Road. This will total roughly 145 meters. The Club will not be included in the outage.
In case of inclement weather, the outage will shift to Friday, February 3rd.

Now that Berkeley has installed their replacement switch-gear equipment, hopefully there are plans to screen in the large piece of equipment with its many signs attached to it. It certainly is not aesthetically pleasing to look at from the street or from the villas, and does not fit in with the surrounding area or Seabrook’s high standards, as the impacted area is very noticeable.
