Jamee Haley, Executive Director of Lowcountry Local First, urged exchange members to support our local, independent business owners and local farmers so our economy flourishes and grows.
Lowcountry Local First is a non-profit organization that offers economic development, training and support for local business owners, entrepreneurs and farmers. Their mission is to “cultivate an economy anchored in local ownership, because local, independent businesses are the cornerstone of our culture, economy, and character.” In order to fulfill this mission, their efforts are organized under two categories:
Lowcountry Local First is located at 1630 Meeting Street Road, Building #2, Charleston, SC. They provide workspace and workshops for entrepreneurs and small businesses to collaborate and support one another as they grow their businesses. Individuals can earn Certificates for Sustainable Agriculture to help grow new farmers in the Lowcountry area.
