2018 Seadogs Annual Meeting – January 23

Please mark you calendars for January 23, 2018, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Live Oak Hall at the Lake House, for the Seadogs Annual Meeting.

This year ,we are thrilled and privileged to have Seabrook Island resident, Hank Greer, President of the Charleston Animal Society and Joe Elmore, Chief Executive Officer of the Society, introduce some of the Response Teams involved in the heroic Evacuation Pipeline that saved hundreds of cats and dogs from the ravages of three major hurricanes in 2017. Rescues were made by air and land in the United States and as far away as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Florida, for instance, was closed to outsiders and “No Resources” meant just that. Hear how the Response Teams planned for and overcame many obstacles.

Our meeting is open to everyone, so bring a friend or two. Please consider bringing a check for the Charleston Animal Society or your favorite pet charity.

Please bring an hors d’oeuvre, tea sandwich, dessert etc. to share. There will be white wine, beer, soft drinks, water and ice available but feel free to bring your own beverage. If you bring red wine, please be careful of spillage on the Lake House carpet. We will have disposable dinnerware at the serving tables.

The Seadogs have some Board openings. If you think you might be interested in joining us, please contact one of our Board members or President Mitch Pulwer (704 307-6879) or VP Jerry Cummin (843 243-8322). No special talents are needed, just a love of animals and a desire to help where needed.

Also, please consider supporting the Seadogs with a $25 check for 2018 annual dues. You do not need to join to attend the annual meeting, but we’d love to have you as a member.
