SEADOGS Beach Walk a Great Success

Sead Beach Walk Apr 2018SEADOGS, the Seabrook Island dog and beach advocacy group, held the annual Beach Walk on April 19, 2018 on North Beach. The Beach Walk is a tradition that has helped the Seabrook Island community combine fun for dogs (and their humans) with charitable giving to worthy Charleston animal causes.

The Beach Walk attracted about 50 dogs. All had a tremendous amount of fun enjoying beautiful weather and the great beach. SEADOGS was also honored to host staff and volunteers from Charleston Animal Society. In fact, the staff brought four beautiful rescue dogs that enjoyed their day at the beach, and hopefully, have since found wonderful homes. As had been mentioned in advance, the event also had the purpose of raising money for this great charity. In fact, an amazing total of $1095 was donated by participants at the event. The SEADOGS Presidents’ challenge contributed another $2000 bringing the grand total raised for Charleston Animal Society to $3095. Congratulations and thanks to everyone who participated in the Beach Walk and the giving. Only on Seabrook Island could this happen!

SEADOGS will be participating in a few local events. We’ll be announcing details soon. You can be a part of this important community organization. Membership is $25 per year.
