Upcoming London Theatre Screenings at 34 West

Did you know that you can see see London Theatre productions for $20, without needing to buy a transatlantic plane ticket?  NT Live, the UK National Theatre’s project bringing the best of British theatre live from the London stage to cinemas around the world,  is now available at 34 West, here in Charleston!

Screenings scheduled for the upcoming months are as follows:

Sunday July 15 – The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (winner of 7 Olivier Awards including Best New Play).

Sunday September 25 – Julie. Vanessa Kirby (The Crown) stars in this new adaptation of August Strindberg’s play Miss Julie.

Sunday October 28 – King Lear.  Acting Legend Sir Ian McKellan (Lord of the Rings. X-Men) in one of Shakespeare’s most legendary roles, recorded live from London’s West End.

Sunday December 9 – The Madness of George III. Written by one of Britain’s best-loved playwrights, Alan Bennett (The History Boys), starring Olivier Award winner Mark Gatiss (Sherlock).

To learn more about NT Live, go to ntlive.com. You’ll see that there are hundreds of venues around the country that host their productions, but this is the first in our area.
