Flags Unfurled At The Charleston Museum Sept. 14

The Charleston Museum presents Conversations with a Curator: Unfurled with Curator of Historic Textiles Teresa Teixeira on Friday, September 14, 2018, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. The Charleston Museum is located at 360 Meeting Street, Charleston.

The new curator of Historic Textiles will discuss the Museum’s flag collection that contains flags from the early 19th century to the late 20th century.  The assemblage includes flags from the Civil War, Spanish American War as well as flags from World War I and II.  Civilian organizational flags, as well as souvenir flags from soldier’s time abroad, are also displayed.
