SIPOA Florence Update #6

Because many of Tidelines readers are non-property owners, visitors, and renters, we are forwarding this announcement from SIPOA. We apologize if you are receiving the same information several times.

Florence is slowly moving toward the upstate and away from Seabrook Island.

Security officers remained at the gatehouse and performed island patrol throughout the storm event. Patrol has reported that the roads have pine straw and small branches, but no downed trees or flooded areas. I toured the island earlier this morning and roads are passable.

The Governor has lifted the evacuation order for our area and the Mayor has authorized access to Seabrook Island. Normal gate operations will resume at noon today. Contractor hours will resume Monday at 7:00 a.m.

The Lake House will open on Monday morning for regular and before/after hours access. The Community Center pool will also open on Monday.

The Administrative Office will resume regular hours (8:00 a.m-4:00 p.m.) Monday. SIPOA has a limited number of lawn and leaf cleanup bags available for purchase at $.50 each. If you need bags, just stop by the Administrative Office during office hours.

SIPOA’s contractors will be on island this week to clean debris from the roads. Please be patient, they will get to every street.

Trash/recycling/yard debris collection is on-schedule for Monday. We may be able to schedule a second yard debris pickup later in the week. We’ll post information if a second date is scheduled.
