Friday, March 1, 2019 is Read Across America Day in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday and a perfect day to read with a child in your own family!
Throughout the month of March, the Inland Rice Fields Traveling Trunk will be on display. This educational tool includes replica artifacts and historical items relating to 18th century inland rice fields of the Lowcountry. The trunk is on loan from the Charleston County Transportation Development and is co-sponsored by the Gullah Geechee Corridor.
