SINHG members ranged far and wide during March, visiting Joint Base Charleston’s fleet of C-17s and touring historic Mount Pleasant on Segways.
The Air Force welcomed us for a closeup tour of one of their huge troop and freight carriers, capable of carrying 500,000 pounds of cargo anywhere in the world. We also got to visit the airport’s FAA control tower with wonderful views from eleven stories up.
Later in the month, SINHG travelers mounted Segways to tour the cobbled streets and historic sites of Mount Pleasant’s Old Village, covering a lot of ground in comfort during the two-hour tour.
