Drayton Hall Distinguished Speaker Series, in partnership with South Carolina Humanities, presents Chef Kevin Mitchell on A Tale of Two Historic Dinners
Kevin Mitchell, chef and scholar of southern foodways will talk on what it was to research and create two historic dinners in tribute to the enslaved cooks of Charleston. A powerful and moving story told by food from hands of a scholar who researched their stories and work. A remarkable conversation regarding one chef’s journey with Charleston history is planned.
