Charleston Museum Summer Hours

The Charleston Museum is pleased to announce an earlier opening time on Sundays through the summer beginning Sunday, May 26, 2019. The Charleston Museum, America’s First Museum established in 1773 and located at 360 Meeting Street, will be open from 11:00 am through 5:00 pm every Sunday through the summer months.

Monday through Saturday, The Charleston Museum is open from 9:00 am through 5:00 pm. The new hours do not extend to The Charleston Museum’s Historic Houses, the Joseph Manigault House and the Heyward-Washington House.

The Museum will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2019 from 9:00 am through 5:00 pm.

Members of The Charleston Museum receive free admission for the duration of their membership. Adult admission is $12 per person, $10 for youth (13 – 17 yrs) and $5 for children (3 – 12 yrs).
