Upon entering The Lake House, it is likely that one of the first welcoming faces you will
encounter is that of Lake House Manager, Jamie Mixson. The name might ring a bell as her husband and bestie for the last 15 years is Executive Sous Chef at the Island House, Van Mixson.
While she and Van reside in West Ashley, Jamie is a constant and comforting presence in The Lake House. She began working there as a part-time employee when it first opened 10 years ago after beginning her tenure at Seabrook as a pool attendant at the Club pool. Originally from Rockville, Maryland, Jamie is a water aerobics instructor in addition to her duties as The Lake House Manager under Director Nic Porter. You might recognize Jamie, or you might not. During the last four weight loss challenges for The Lake House staff, Jamie has lost 90 pounds!
Much of Jamie’s work is done behind the scenes but she is an indispensable part of The Lake House team and her ready smile and positive attitude are absolutely infectious. Meet her and you will see for yourself.
