There is less then a month left to see the Gibbes Museum of Art’s special exhibition of Black Refractions: Highlights from the Studio Museum in Harlem. This opportunity to experience nearly a century of works by artists of African descent ends August 18, 2019.

Summer Art Camp: Teen Camp — July 22-25 from 1:00-4:00 pm
Campers ages 13-16 will explore their identities through three fun and engaging themes inspired by Black Refractions. You in Bold will focus on powerful portraits from the exhibition. Using Color to Speak looks at abstract watercolors and collages as forms of self-expression. Collagraph Printmaking allows campers to construct plates from printed images .

Join Kristy Bishop for an artist choice tour where she will select and discuss works featuring fiber art and textiles from the Black Refractions exhibit.
