On Seabrook Island, we have over 2,200 residences, 41 regimes and hundreds of contractors all working under one organizational roof. Coordinating all those elements is a monumental task which frequently falls in the lap of Director of ARC and Administration, Katrina Burrell. If you are renovating, painting or repairing any part of the outside of your home, or if your regime is doing so, the work approval goes through Katrina.
Katrina hails from a town in Georgia right on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina called Ellijay. Katrina began working at the Coosawattee River Resort as a pool attendant but before she was done there, she was managing the entire resort, which is several times the size of Seabrook Island. When her daughter (recently married) and son (in college) finally left home, Katrina decided to make a move. In relatively short order, she interviewed for the job here at Seabrook Island and found her new home here in the Lowcountry.
Katrina often is in her car traveling to visit her kids and has found satisfaction in listening to audiobooks on her sojourns. Her degree in Organizational Management makes her ideally suited to work closely with the Town of Seabrook Island and she is currently working on the steering committee for proposing revisions to the Town of Seabrook Island Development Standard Ordinance. We are very fortunate that she chose us as her new challenge.
