Explore select pieces from the Historic Textiles Collection with Curator of Historic Textiles, Teresa Teixeira, that highlight the Chintz Appliqué quilts in our collection. A variety of quilts from the mid-nineteenth century will be on display and guests will have an opportunity to view the multicolored printed cotton and applique techniques up close with our Museum Curator. Don’t miss your chance to view quilts dating back to the 1820s before they are tucked away back into the Museum’s collection for safe-keeping. Registration is required and this program is recommended for ages 13 and up. Registration includes admission to The Charleston Museum.
