Charleston Museum: October Calendar of Events

The Charleston Museum educates area residents and visitors about the natural and cultural history of the South Carolina Lowcountry through collections, exhibitions, preservation, conservation, research, and related programming. October 1 – 31 –Morbid Mourning: Pop-Up Display of Mourning Jewelry from the History Collection on display.

October 11 – Conversations with a Curator: Problem-Solving and Subsistence with Early Stone Tools with Archaeologist Ron Anthony, 10:30 am.

October 15* – Toddler Day: Marsupial Madness, 10 – 11 am.

October 18* – Home School History Day: Skeletons in the Closet, 10 – 11 am.

October 27* – Full STEAM Ahead: Eerie Engineering, 2 – 3:30 pm.

October 29* – Toddler Day: Monster Mash, 10 – 11 am.

October 31 – Morbid Mourning: A Special Halloween Talk with Senior Curator, Grahame Long, 10:30 am.

October 31 – Mourning the Dead: Talk and Demonstration of Human Hair Jewelry with Gina Iacovelli
