We just received notification today, October 25, at 1:15 pm, that there is an accident on Highway 17 heading South near Carpet Baggers, right before the railroad bridge. Traffic is moving very slowly and backed up to the Stono River bridge.
If you are heading on to the island, you may want to take an alternate route.
