Wine Under the Oaks on Sunday December 8, 2019 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm is one of the highlights of the December social calendar in the Lowcountry and a signature special event for Boone Hall Plantation. The event features an all star lineup of wineries and wine distributors who provide samples, gourmet food, a champagne and desserts tent, ice sculptures, wine and food pairings, live musical entertainment, specialty vendors, and more.

- Annual Holiday Spirituals Concerts ◊ December 14 & 15
At 3:00 pm on December 14 and 15, 2019 Drayton Hall will hold our annual African American Spirituals Concerts. The only event to still be held inside historic Drayton Hall in Charleston, SC – the Spirituals Concert Series represents a most rare opportunity to experience the music of traditional spirituals. Two extraordinary and memorable performances by Ann Caldwell & The Magnolia Singers will be held this year.

- Children’s Holiday Village ◊ December 1 – 31
The Children’s Garden at Magnolia will magically transform again this year into our Children’s Holiday Village where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the Holiday Season! The Holiday Express will pick you up and take you on a whimsical 15-minute ride around the property and drop you off at Candy Cane Lane. We are celebrating Holiday traditions from around the world this year where you will learn some of the origins or popular traditions, taste unique treats and explore how other countries celebrate with themed activities. Santa and Mrs. Clause will be making a special appearance with some of their elves too!

Middleton Place
- Christmas on the Battery ◊ December 5 & 6
Theatrical performances complement a candlelight tour of the Edmondston-Alston House. Adorned in period costumes, performers reflect on past Christmas events that not only touched the lives of the Alston family, but also the city of Charleston. Event will be held on December 5 & 6 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm (tours given continuously).

- Family Yuletide ◊ December 7
Gather the family and make nature-inspired holiday decor and crafts around warm fires on December 7 from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm. The blacksmith, potter, cooper and seamstress will be plying their trades in candle-lit shops and interacting with guests about their roles at Middleton Place in the 18th century. Additionally, a live nativity scene will take place including several animals from the Stableyards. Seasonal refreshments will be provided.
