With the spring equinox rapidly approaching, SINHG Trips for the season have reached the halfway point, with SINHG members ranging as far afield as Spartanburg for a tour of the newly accessible BMW plant, recently reopened to tours after retooling for producing the newer and larger X-class SAVs.
The tour included a visit to the BMW Museum housed on the campus and a stop for lunch in the cafeteria.
SINHG members indulged their artistic urges in two workshops – one at Blue Heron Glass, where members created their own art glass trays depicting downtown Charleston’s famous and colorful Rainbow Row, and another at the Lake House for a brand new offering with crafts maker Barbara Clawson, who taught participants how to make their own beaded jewelry.
SINHG Trips for members continue through early May before taking a break for the summer. You can learn more about SINHG membership by visiting the SINHG website here.
