The Lowcountry Boilers Performance Canceled

The Lowcountry Boilers planned to hold a night of classic rock music at The Lake House on March 27, 2020, as a fundraiser for the WaterWise Program. In response to the current national health emergency, they have canceled this performance.

The purpose of this event was to help raise funds for WaterWise, a program of swim lessons for local underprivileged first- through third-grade children from Mt. Zion and Edith Frierson Elementary Schools. The WaterWise program will gladly accept any donations, which can be mailed to or dropped off at the home of Derek Fyfe, 1014 Embassy Row Way, Seabrook Island, SC 29455.

This spring they will teach over 80 children these life-saving skills for two weeks of sessions. Many of these kids are afraid of the water and have never been in a pool before! Thanks to the help of many volunteers from Seabrook Island, the children finish the program feeling confident of their newly learned skills. It costs about $100 per child for bus transportation to the pool at Camp Ho-Non-Wah and for insurance. Support for this important program can save a life.
