Before you put your used furniture or other items on the curb for Brown and White Pickup on Friday, June 5, consider recycling it – and getting a possible tax deduction at the same time!
Sea Island Habitat for Humanity Restore at 3304 Maybank Highway is the place to donate the following:
- furniture: living, dining, bedroom, and office
- appliances & electronics: clean and in working condition
- housewares: dishes, pots, pans, utensils, paintings, lamps, books, mirrors, etc.
- building materials: kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, doors, tile, etc
- vehicles and boats.
You can drop them off or they will come and pick up these treasures. Contact the store at 843-559-4009 to arrange a convenient time.
In addition, Habitat offers deconstruction services for your remodeling projects. Again, these donated items are tax-deductible.
Visit their website and click on “Restore” for donation and deconstruction information.
