The Town Council of The Town of Kiawah Island, which includes Freshfields Village, passed an emergency ordinance to extend existing requirements, including face coverings and other emergency restrictions, to address COVID-19 until March 2, 2021. Violators of any provision will be subject to a fine of up to $100 plus required statutory assessments.
In addition, Town Council passed the first reading of Ordinance 2021-03 which establishes emergency restrictions that shall remain in place until December 31, 2021, or until the Governor allows the current State of Emergency to expire, whichever date comes first.
