CCPL: Read Across America March 1 – 5

Ready, Set, Read Across America! To celebrate the fun and value of reading with the children in your life, join Charleston County Public Library for daily virtual read-alouds with local guest readers to celebrate the annual National Education Association’s (NEA) Read Across America program. This is the 23rd annual Read Across America event and it is the nation’s largest celebration of reading! While Read Across America is celebrated on March 2, CCPL has expanded the celebration to last the entire week.

Every day March 1-5 at 10 am, guest readers will appear on CCPL’s Facebook page to read some of their favorite picture books. Guest readers are local public figures and celebrities who will share their dedication to literacy and the joy of reading! The featured books will reflect everyone in the community to help children discover their own voices and learn from the voices of others.
