Keeping Your Gardens in Bloom All Year and SIGC Monthly Meeting, March 12

Wondering what, when and where you can plant for constant blooms on Seabrook Island? The Seabrook Island Garden Club is providing a tremendous resource at our Friday, March 12, 2021 meeting with Kate White, Director of Horticulture for Magnolia Plantation & Gardens. Kate will present a class discussing “Keeping Your Gardens in Bloom All Year Long.” There will be a short business meeting at 9:45 am and Kate will begin her program at 10:00 am.

We’ve seen her expertise in action during the SIGC February field trip to Magnolia Plantation. Kate manages the staff and 200+ volunteer contingent at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens. In addition to her horticultural responsibilities, she conceptualized and opened the retail Gilliard Garden Center in April, 2017. Kate is a native of Erie, Pennsylvania, but Charleston has felt like her home since she was a child. She is multi-degreed in Environmental Science and Horticulture, with numerous certifications in sustainability and landscape design. Magnolia Plantation & Gardens showcases her true love of Horticulture & Public Gardens. Join us for another great program!

We will send out a Zoom link a few days before the March 12 meeting.

The ’20-21 Seabrook Island Garden Club focuses on those who have an active interest in horticulture and artistic design, community beautification, ecology and philanthropy. Access our blog at: https://sigardenclub.blogspot.com/
