Rock Climbing and Ropes Experience

The Charleston County Parks is offering a couple of interesting classes that will challenge your courage.

Rock Climbing

Rock climbing has become a popular sport amount adults and teenagers alike. Charleston County Parks is offering an Introduction to Rock Climbing class on Tuesday, April 18, from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm. It will take place at The Climbing Wall at James Island County Park on Riverland Drive.

In this class, you will receive instruction on the basics of climbing and learn the climbing lingo. Practice will be in small groups on both ropes and boulders and the fee includes your rental gear.

Preregistration is required and the class is limited to persons age 14 and up.

High Ropes Experience

In this High Ropes Experience, you will be able to walk on air, swing from the rafters and fly high! You will enjoy pulse-racing fun, complete with safety gear and expert staff.

The adventure will take place on Saturday, April 24, from 9:00 am until noon. Preregistration is highly recommended as this class fills up fast. It is limited to people over age 10 and an on-site chaperone is required for participants ages 15 and under.
