Development has been and will continue to be of interest to those living in the Lowcountry. Many are concerned about growth on the barrier islands.
Municipal Improvement Districts MID) may be the answer to issues surrounding exponential development in places like Johns Island. City Council of Charleston will hold an informational meeting to explain how MIDs work from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Berkeley Electric Co-op, 1135 Main Road, Johns Island.
There will also be a public hearing at 5:00 pm, August 17, at the Daniel Island Recreation Center, 160 Fairbanks Drive. The public hearing can be accessed via Conference Call.
