Historic Charleston Foundation is sponsoring the following events in August:

The African American Experience: A Sneak Peek at the International African American Museum, Friday, August 20 | 11:30 am   Join Bernard Powers, PhD and acting director of the IAAM, for a virtual sneak peek of the museum (opening in 2022), touching on some of the galleries that include connections across the African diaspora, the spread of African American culture and influence, and the movements for justice and equality. Mapping Jewish Charleston, Friday, August 27 | 11:30 am  Historian and curator Dale Rosengarten will present the history and places of notable Jewish Charlestonians, from the decades following the American Revolution all the way up to the present. Light lunch included. Click here for tickets.

Tickets for the Gullah Spiritual Concerts on the first Thursday of each month through November are also available.
