Did you ever wonder where those American flags – the ones you see on holidays at entrance points to Seabrook and Kiawah – come from?
The short answer is the Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club, an organization whose mission centers on serving family, community and country.
The longer answer is that the flags – more than 100 in all – represent South Carolinians who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country.
This week the flags will be flown from just before Labor Day to just after 9/11 and are put in place by members of the Exchange Club.
