During the month of January 2022, Charleston’s distinguished cultural sites will once again come together for Museum Mile Month. Those who purchase a Museum Mile Month pass will be able to enjoy access to thirteen participating sites. Passholders can spend an entire month learning about the city’s rich history and culture while visiting sites in the order that best fits their schedule.
Purchase price for tickets is $35 for adults and $10 for children (ages 12 and under). Tickets can be purchased in advance via Charleston’s Museum Mile website through December 31, making these passes a great holiday gift. During the month of January tickets can only be purchased in person at the Kiawah Island, Mount Pleasant, North Charleston, or Downtown Visitor Centers. Explore and enjoy all that Charleston has to offer with Museum Mile Month and show your support for Museums!
The unprecedented COVID19 pandemic continues to take its toll on museums and other cultural sites, which are reliant on visitor revenues to maintain their operating budgets and accomplish their worthy educational missions. Museum Mile Month is a great way to support the local museum community as all proceeds directly benefit the non-profit organizations that comprise the Museum Mile.
COVID19 Alert: Participation by each site and hours of operation are subject to change due to the changing circumstances related to the coronavirus. Please check with each individual site concerning operating hours and safety protocols as you plan your month exploring downtown Charleston’s most incredible cultural sites.
Participating Museum Mile sites include:
Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry
Must be with a child (10 and under) to be admitted
South Carolina Historical Society Museum
Nathaniel Russell House Museum
The Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon
