CCP 5K Trail Race Series Starts in March

Charleston County Parks (CCP) is launching a 5K Trail Race Series to be held at some of the most treasured parks for trail runners and walkers: Caw Caw Interpretative Center, Johns Island County Park, and Laurel Hill County Park.  The series will include four 5K races, starting in March and culminating with awards presented at the final race in November. Registration is now open.

Throughout the year, series participants will journey through the landscape of the Lowcountry, from swamps of cypress trees to forests of palmettos to oak alleys, with the opportunity to win 5K trail series awards and finisher medals. The awards ceremony for the series will be held at the Chili 5K.

Registration is required, and on-site registration is not available. Please view the race webpage for specific information on each race.  Participants ages 10-15 may register but must have an adult chaperone on-site. The chaperone is not required to register.

The series is open to all fitness levels and abilities. For more information including enrollment requirements, fees, and registration details, click here.
