Our Lady of Mercy (OLM) Community Outreach has been an anchor in the Sea Islands community since 1989 and in downtown Charleston at Neighborhood House since 2005. We give those in need access to free dental and prenatal care, food, clothing and financial assistance, job assistance, critical home repair, hot lunch five days a week at Neighborhood House, and education opportunities for youth and adults. Our in-house social workers utilize case management to determine the root cause of their needs, set goals, and develop an action plan to be on the path to self-sufficiency. We focus on the whole person and wrap our services around individuals and families wherever possible and, where we can’t, we coordinate with broader community organizations to collaborate.
Make an impact on your community. With two locations, Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach helps thousands a year with basic and emergency sources, wellness services, and education programs, and we need volunteers to make it all happen!
Volunteers are essential to Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach, and we depend on helping hands to keep our programs running. We currently have positions available in all areas of our services. You can volunteer based on your interests and schedule!
