Kiawah Arts Council January Events

The Kiawah Arts & Cultural Events Council has a wonderful lineup of events for January, 2023. Some of these performances have ticket sales in December. The January lineup includes:

  • Liquid Pleasure performing on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 7:30 pm at the West Beach Conference Center. Tickets go on sale December 27 for Kiawah residents and December 29 for the general public. This multi-cultural icon has committed its profession to bringing music to an array of audiences with a Motown big band feeling.
  • Veterans of Jazz performing on Sunday, January 15 at 4:00 pm at the Turtle Point Clubhouse. Tickets are on sale now. Quentin Baxter’s first concert in his three-part jazz series will feature Benedetto Guitarists Wayne Wilkinson, Howard Paul, and Shawn Purcell.
  • Art Film Series – Big Eyes airing on Friday, January 20 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at The Sandcastle. No tickets are required. This is a 2014 film starring Amy Adams. It tells the story of artist Margaret Keane, a painter whose husband takes credit for her success.
  • Ranky Tanky performing on Saturday, January 21 at 7:30 pm at the West Beach Conference Center. Tickets go on sale December 19 at 9:00 am. This Grammy-award group consists of five members, most of whom are no strangers to the Kiawah Island Arts Council, including Quentin Baxter, Charlton Singleton, Kevin Hamilton, Quiana Parler, & Clay Ross.
  • Piano Bar – Hunter Feick performing on Wednesday, January 25 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at The Sandcastle. No tickets are required. Not meant to be concerts, Piano Bars are to enjoy with friends and offer an opportunity to meet neighbors outside your circle for some island socializing. Bring your beverage of choice and a snack to “tide” you over.
  • Julian Gargiulo, Pianist performing on Sunday, January 29 at 7:30 pm at The Seabrook Island Club. Tickets go on sale January 16 for Kiawah residents and January 19 for the general public. Julian Gargiulo is a dynamic classical pianist who renders the compositions of renowned masters with extraordinary passion and precision, and fills the concert hall with his personal brand of charm, humor and charisma.

The Town of Kiawah Arts and Cultural Events Council works to enhance community appreciation and involvement in the performing arts within the Town of Kiawah Island and its environs by providing a diversity of planned programs.
