The school year is half over and Backpack Buddies Seabrook Island has delivered over 4,000 backpacks of food to the children of Charleston County for weekend meals. This has been done through generous donations to buy the food as well as all the volunteers who help buy, pack, and deliver the food. We want to thank everyone for their generosity. The children are overwhelming appreciative of the meals.
This February/March there will not be a Gorski Challenge. Mike Gorski did a fantastic job of running the challenge for six years and has decided to retire from the fundraising program. We will now have the “Backpack Buddies Seabrook Island Challenge” (run similar to Gorski Challenge) which will be held in August/September, 2023 – so watch for more news in the summer.
