The Seabrook Island Artist Guild (SIAG) is about to unveil something that is totally new on Seabrook Island — and it promises to be unforgettable.
All 115 members of the Guild have been invited — no, challenged — to create an original work of art for a bold new exhibition extravaganza titled:
“Treasures of Seabrook Island”. Each participating artist will submit an anonymous piece that captures what they believe is a true treasure of Seabrook Island — its beauty, spirit, wildlife, landscapes, people, or hidden gems.
The exhibition will feature a stunning variety of media including oils, acrylics, watercolors, sculpture, fiber art, inks, pottery, and more. The guild family anticipates there will be between 45 and 50 original pieces of truly unique art on display.
But here’s the twist…
There will be no names on any of the artwork. Every piece will be displayed anonymously. No reputations. No favorites. No hints. Just pure artistic expression.
And now for the best part: You are the judge. Seabrook Island residents, guests, visitors, vacationers — and any curious art lovers from near or far — will determine the winners. Anyone between the ages of 10 and 110 is invited to cast three votes, one for each of their three favorite pieces. You may not vote for the same artwork more than once.
The Guild wants to know: Who do you think is the GOAT (greatest of all time) artist of Seabrook Island? There will be three identical “People’s Choice Award” trophies given out at the awards ceremony.
Event Details
Location: The exhibition will be hosted at the Seabrook Island Real Estate Office at 1002 Landfall Way — conveniently located just outside the gate so everyone can attend. The Living Room Gallery is open during the regular office hours of the real estate office.
Exhibition Dates: April 1 – June 30
(The artwork will remain on display for three full months.)
Voting Period: April 1 – April 25

Monday, April 27, 4:00–6:00 pm

To ensure complete fairness and suspense, the Guild will not be handling the ballots. Seabrook Island Real Estate Office will collect and tabulate the votes — and only they, along with Mayor Bruce Kleinman (our award presenter), will know the results until the dramatic announcement.
