Beatles Bach and Beer: Holy City Tour – A week in the Holy City with the Bachstars and Friends

UNED!TED’s beloved Bachstars (Hazel Ketchum, John Holenko, Jonathan Gray, Tom Morley and and Laura Ball) return for a whirlwind week of music and family friendly fun! From concerts to contra dances and even some Irish fiddling, these musicians will keep you on your toes and bring you to your feet! Come to one event, come to them all!! We’re going for at least 8 plays this week! The Holy City tour features free, educational and ticketed events in a first ever week in residency sponsored by UNED!TED, the Cooper School and Classical Sundays.

March 15– 7:30pm Unitarian Church – Kickoff Concert with the Bachstars! 4 Archdale Street, Charleston$25 adults, $10 students, $20 senior

March 16 – POHO  on the Deck
Hungry Monk Thursdays: with the Bachstars– 6-9pm, Pourhouse at 1977 Maybank Highway, FREE*

*March 17* – St. Pat’s concert at the Cooper School.  This event is for students enrolled at the Cooper School.bbb-2017

March 18 – An ‘All Request’ Hour at Hungry Monk 7pm
*Special Opening Act: Beatles and Bach student showcase.  For the first time ever, the Backstars invite the audience to choose the setlist. Anything in the Beatles catalogue is fair game. Try and stump our musicians with your favorite Rock or Bach requests.  BYO-Beverage – $10, $5 students

March 19 – Classical Sundays featuring Hazel Ketchum and Tom Morley as Tradd Street, Irish fiddle and guitar duo, 4:00pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3871 Betsy Kerrison Parkway, Johns Island, SC, FREE

The musical stylings and shenanigans of American Duo Tradd Street (formerly “Banna de Dha”, band of two) bring the songs and sound of Ireland to Holy Spirit in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy the musical festivities as these two virtuosos – Hazel Ketchum, acoustic guitar, and Tom Morley, Irish fiddle – delight our afternoon audience. Two instruments, two musical paths, two visions combined to make one sound – contemporary yet timeless!
