COVAR Call for Candidates for the 2021-22 Board of Directors


COVAR’s annual meeting is scheduled to take place, via Zoom, on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at 5:00 pm.

Per the COVAR Bylaws, we are calling for nominations for the COVAR Board for 2021-22. COVAR officers shall serve one-year terms. The following is the description of each Board position:

President: Duties include, but are not limited to, public representation of COVAR, chairing all COVAR meetings, preparation of meeting agendas and appointment of all committees or volunteers.

Vice President: Duties include, but are not limited to, standing in for the President in his/her absence, as well as performing Presidential functions at the request of the President.

Secretary: Duties include, but are not limited to, notification of all meetings, recording and publishing of meeting minutes to all COVAR member associations and regimes, and securing and maintaining records of all designated representatives.

Treasurer: Duties include, but are not limited to, notification and acceptance of dues and preparing and publishing an annual financial report

The timetable for nominations and the election process is as follows:

January 4, 2021– Call for nominations for the COVAR Board of Directors for 2021-22. Each nominee should provide a one-page bio to be forwarded to the COVAR Secretary, Joanne Fagan, at joanne.fagan@comcast.net.

February 18, 2021– Nominations are due by February 18, 2021.

February 19, 2021– Ballots and the nominee bios will be sent to each COVAR Association/Regime President whose dues for 2021-22 have been paid.

March 12, 2021-Ballots are due to the COVAR Secretary, Joanne Fagan, at joanne.fagan@comcast.net

March 17, 2021– Winning candidates will be presented at the March 17, 2021, meeting and will assume their duties at the conclusion of the meeting.
