Heavy Traffic This Weekend

This weekend there will be more traffic than normal on the roads around Charleston.  Summerville is hosting the Flowertown Festival and downtown Charleston is the destination for the Cooper River Bridge Run.

Summerville is expecting as many as 250,000 people for their 50th annual festival from Friday, March 31, through Sunday, April 2.

Charleston is hosting The Cooper River Bridge Run for about 40,000 runners, walkers, and wheelchair participants.  In addition, there will be many friends and family cheering the athletes. Packet pickup is Thursday, March 30, and Friday, March 31, at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston.  The race itself is downtown Saturday morning, April 1, and starts on Coleman Boulevard in Mt Pleasant and finishes at Marion Square.
