Island Park Place Proposed Development Meeting March 6

On Thursday, March 6, 2025 the developers of the Island Park Place Medical Health and Wellness Village (aka Botox Village) will once again go before the Charleston County Planning and Public Works Committee.  The meeting will be held at 5:00 pm at 4045 Bridge View Drive, North Charleston, SC 29405.

At this meeting, the Committee will discuss the proposed up-zoning request from the developers and will hold a vote to make a recommendation to the full Council on whether to approve or deny the development. There will be no in-person public comments during this meeting.

The developer’s request is to rezone a low density residential zoning district to allow for the development of a large scale medical office park with retail and residential uses. Also included would be an on-site wastewater treatment area. The development would be located along Betsy Kerrison Parkway across the street from the old Rosebank Farms market. The medical village would have a serious environmental impact on the community due to the use of septic systems, in-fill of up to two acres of wetlands, 60% site coverage with impervious surfaces, destruction of grand trees, and habitat loss.
