The tide should be starting to recede presently, around 10:00 am. In the meantime, be advised:
Marsh Gate Drive is closed
The Oyster Catcher/Seabrook Island Road intersection is flooded
Most roads have some degree of standing water
There is approximately 1 ft of standing water at the Gate House
The causeway on/off the island (in front of Bohicket) is flooded
We expect similar events with the morning high tide for the next several days. If you are off the island, ask your neighbor to keep an eye on your home for encroaching water. If you are on the island, please stay home if at all possible until the tide recedes, and use extreme caution around this time of day for the next several days. If you must go out, do not drive through standing water and observe all barricades.
