Party for the Parks
The Charleston Parks Conservancy’s largest fundraiser is back this fall. Hundreds of party-goers will fill Cannon Park to celebrate Charleston’s parks with food, drinks, music, live entertainers and auction items at the Conservancy’s fifth Party for the Parks, all in a street-party atmosphere.
Party for the Parks is 6-10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14 at Cannon Park, 131 Rutledge Ave. in Charleston. Rain Location: Memminger Auditorium, 56 Beaufain St., Charleston, SC. The previous events have been at Colonial Lake, which is undergoing a major renovation scheduled to be completed in early 2016. Next year’s Party for the Parks will return to Colonial Lake in a celebration of the park’s $5 million renovation.

Party for the Parks will feature food from several of Charleston’s best restaurants and caterers, including Indaco, Oak Steakhouse, Relish Distinctive Catering, Bull Street Gourmet & Market, Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, Vincent Chicco’s, Monza, Básico + Mixson Bath & Racquet Club and Burwell’s Stonefire Grill. Enjoy coffee from Royal Cup Coffee and sweets from Grill 225, Freddo’s artisanal gelato, Christophe Artisan Chocolatier-Patissier and Blend Juice Bar.
Icebox will host the open bar, and cocktails will be provided by The Americano, The Cocktail Club and 44° North Vodka. Wine will be provided by Mira Winery, Grapevine Distributors and Finca El Origen Winery. Beer will be provided by Southern Eagle Distributing Inc.
Americana band The Bushels will perform, and local band High Tide will play covers and original tunes. Palmetto Mobile Entertainment will be pumping out the dance music.
The event also features a silent and online auction, which will be open prior to the event using Charleston-based software company Bidr. Auction items will be announced soon at http://www.partyfortheparks.com.
