SIPOA Planning Committee November meeting

The Planning Committee (PC) of the Seabrook Island Property Owners Association (SIPOA) met on November 10 at the Lake House.
A new Bike Path proposal that involves crossing a portion of a golf course has been submitted to the SIC for consideration.
The 2016 Strategic Plan has been submitted to the SIPOA Board of Directors.
The Audubon Committee reports that it continues to look for new members. The Data Gathering and Analysis Subcommittee reported on its progress for the 2016 survey. This includes inputs from several other committees plus size restrictions regarding responses to open-ended questions.
Discussion occurred regarding the recent flooding events and the planning and actions that other committees have already taken. The PC will look for any implications that may need to be included in current or future Strategic Plans. The PC also discussed the issue of the Franchise Fees and Accommodations Tax collected by the Town of Seabrook Island. This issue has been identified as high priority in the 2016 Strategic Plan.

The PC normally meets the second Tuesday of each month in the Lake House. All property owners are welcome to attend. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, December 8, at 9am in the Osprey 1 room.
