Symposium on the Battle of Chosin Reservoir: Surrounded, Not Defeated

Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum will offer a FREE symposium on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at 7:30 pm, featuring a panel of four Marine veterans who served in the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War.

In “The Battle of Chosin Reservoir: Surrounded, Not Defeated,” these brave men will share what it was like to fight against overwhelming odds in extreme temperatures (as low as 40 degrees below zero) and the struggle to bring out their dead and wounded.

The Battle of Chosin Reservoir took place in November and December 1950 in North Korea when 25,000 Army soldiers and Marines were surrounded by approximately 150,000 Chinese forces.
