Mailboxes and Road Signs

Last year the SIPOA Wayfinding Committee identified mailboxes and road signs as areas in need of aesthetic improvement. This year we are working to make those improvements.

Starting on Monday (1-25-16) we will begin painting mailboxes. The numbered placard will be removed and the mailbox will be painted before the repainted placard is returned to the mailbox. Please remove any decorations from your mailbox that may hinder this work. If your mailbox is found to be in poor condition we will notify the owner. This work will take approximately 3 months to complete.

Beginning the first week in February (2-1-16) we will begin replacing all of the road signs on Seabrook Island. Old road signs will be removed and replaced with new signs that meet the sign standards adopted by the Wayfinding Committee. This work does not include traffic signs, only road signs. This work will take approximately 6 weeks to complete.

We appreciate your patience as we work to keep Seabrook Island looking great!
