
The World Affairs Council of Charleston is hosting a lecture on The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) on Wednesday, April 9.
Members and guests of WACC will assemble at the Citadel Alumni Center, 69 Hagood Ave. right across from the football stadium at 5 p.m. for a social hour. High school students and a Citadel cadet will be recognized for their achievements in international issues at 5:45 p.m. The lecture will begin at 6 p.m.
The speaker is Andrew Peek of the American Foreign Policy Council in Washington D.C. His topic is “The ISIS Crisis in the Middle East – What Drives it?; Can it be Contained?; What Should the U.S. Do?”

Attendance is by membership which is $65 for an individual or $110 for a couple (any two individuals in a household) payable at the meeting or on our website, http://waccharleston.org/ Guests can attend once per year for a guest fee of $20 payable at the meeting.
Parking is ample, close and free.
